New West End Company has long campaigned for the transformation of Oxford Street. We are proud to play a role in the Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan’s plans to regenerate the street, through the establishment of the Oxford Street Development Corporation (OSDC).
As a member of the OSDC Board, our Chief Executive, Dee Corsi, represents businesses in the West End in key conversations, ensuring business perspectives, operational realities are reflected as plans move from principle to delivery.
Central to the Mayor’s ambitions is the proposal to make Oxford Street traffic-free. The success of this project will depend on continued collaboration. For more than two decades, we have represented businesses on Oxford Street and across the wider West End. We understand the street’s unique character and complexity, and we bring deep, practical knowledge of how it operates day-to-day.
Based on this experience, we will continue to work closely with the OSDC, Westminster City Council, our members and the wider West End community to help shape a scheme that works for all.
