Ahead of the new public event organised by the Mayor of London THIS IS Oxford Street, taking place on 21 September, you can now access further information from the GLA here.

The day is expected to have a lively, inclusive atmosphere, with activity zones designed to appeal to different audiences throughout the day. We are working closely with the organisers to ensure minimal disruption and to maintain safe, well-managed operations.

Event details

  • Time: 12:00 – 20:00.
  • Location: Oxford Street from North Audley Street / Orchard Street to Oxford Circus.
  • Programme: Temporary stages, live performances, brand activations, food and drink stalls, toilet facilities, and themed zones.
  • Capacity: Approximately 18,000 people at any one time.

Operational information

  • Road closures: 21:00 Saturday 20 September – 04:00 Monday 22 September.
  • Servicing windows: 04:00 – 07:00 on Sunday; from 04:00 on Monday.
  • Security and stewarding: Managed by SES Group.
