Member Services

We provide a number of services for members and customers to ensure that the West End is a clean, safe and welcoming place to visit. We also enhance the trading environment and provide costs savings for businesses.

Clean Team

A world-class destination needs world-class cleanliness and public realm. In addition to the services provided by the local authority, our clean team works tirelessly to make the West End a more pleasant environment to visit, shop and spend time.

In 2017 our Clean Team deep cleaned 9.75 football pitches worth of pavement across the district.

Security Team

We’re committed to keeping the West End a safe and secure place for visitors and for retailers, hoteliers and restaurateurs.

Our Street security team diligently monitors the neighbourhood. The team has a constant presence on our streets. They are in direct radio communication with members and the Police to deal with any issues or concerns swiftly.

Last year our Security Team assisted retailers with 145 incidents of shoplifting and 3,500 security incidents. Pedicab incidents, begging and rough sleeping are our main focus.

Reducing traffic

Reducing traffic and improving air quality are major priorities for the West End to make it a safer and cleaner environment for visitors, employees and residents.

Later this year New West End Company will be launching an extended consolidation service for members aiming to reduce vehicles in the West End and save businesses money. The scheme offers member businesses deals on a range of services and suppliers including freight, waste, office supplies and more.

The pilot Bond Street commercial vehicle reduction scheme in 2017 led to a 95% reduction in waste vehicle movements on Bond Street.

Recruit West End

Recruit West End is a recruitment scheme driven by New West End Company.

Our members can benefit from specialist experience of sourcing, screening, training and mentoring Westminster residents to fill vacancies at West End retailers and hotels free of charge. The scheme placed over 300 young people in jobs in the West End in 2017 and almost 600 since the scheme started in 2014.
