JOB PURPOSE
The Executive Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the CEO’s office in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. The successful candidate will provide high-level strategic and operational support, managing governance processes, board liaison, stakeholder communications, and complex diary coordination.
They will play a key role in enabling the CEO to focus on strategic priorities while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Experience working with business improvement districts (BIDs) or similar organisations is highly desirable.
Strategic & Operational Support
- Support the CEO in driving strategic excellence, ensuring organisational priorities are met efficiently across the SLT and company-wide.
- Develop and implement systems and processes to enhance the efficiency of the CEO’s office.
- Ensure the smooth management of the CEO’s diary, including organising meetings, agenda setting, meeting preparation, actions, and follow-ups.
- Work closely with the SLT to support delivery on their objectives as set out by the CEO, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and successful implementation of key initiatives.
Governance & Compliance
- Oversee all governance procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (with the support of Finance Teams).
- Ensure the smooth onboarding of new directors and provide governance training.
- Manage the governance calendar, prepare board packs, and liaise with all Governance Group Members.
Board & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for Board members and key external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination of governance matters.
Project & Meeting Management
- Support CEO-governed projects, working closely with senior leadership, internal team members, and external partners.
- Oversee the planning and coordination of key meetings, ensuring structured agendas, clear action points, and effective follow-ups.
People & Culture Support
- Work collaboratively with the People and Culture Manager to ensure that the culture, as defined by the CEO, is implemented and embedded throughout the organisation.
- Partner with HR to facilitate smooth onboarding of new directors and senior hires, as well as championing employee engagement and development programs.
