David Shaw OBE, Chairman of the Property Steering Group, and Jace Tyrrell, Chief Executive of New West End Company, hosted our Property BID full year review at Grosvenor Estates on 11 January 2018.
Will Bax, Executive Director of Grosvenor Estates welcomed the packed audience to the event and shared his vision for the West End over the next year.
The event comprised speakers from Colliers International, Gerald Eve and New West End Company who shared their perspectives on the year ahead for business, property and retail in the West End.
Jace Tyrrell outlined our work over the past year championing the West End on the global stage and our latest trading insights.
Colliers International Chief Economist, Dr Walter Boettcher, shared his perspective on the UK economy and the potential factors that could impact visitor numbers and real estate in the West End over the next year.
Dan Johnson, Head of Place-making and Cynthia Grant, Project Director from New West End Company updated members on our place-making and public realm projects including the Bond Street development and Oxford Street District Transformation.
Finally the Chairman of Gerald Eve, Hugh Bullock, gave an overview of the Mayor’s London Plan.
A lively discussion, chaired by David Shaw OBE, followed with some interesting questions and points raised from the audience.
