In honour of the Year of The Monkey, we’re celebrating Chinese New Year in the heart of Regent Street with the ancient tradition of Wishing Trees.
Synonymous with luck and good fortune, legend tells us that hanging your hopes for the coming year on Wishing Trees will encourage your dreams to come true.
Head to Glasshouse Street in the Regent Street Quadrant on Sunday 14 February, from 11am–3pm, to meet the Chinese calligraphers who will write your wish in beautiful traditional lettering, both to hang on the tree and take away as a keepsake.
Don’t miss out on the lucky chocolate coins being given away too for added good fortune.
Make a wish and share your pictures using @RegentStreetW1 and #ChineseNewYear.
THE MONKEY KING ARRIVES IN LONDON
We have a special guest joining us for Chinese New Year this year. To celebrate the Year of the Monkey, none other than the Monkey King himself will be coming to London. The much-loved character from the classic Chinese novel ‘Journey to the West’ will be on Regent Street on Sunday 14 February, and will be in a very generous mood.
